How to use it
- In Loyverse Back Office, open the receipts report, choose the dates and export the CSV (how to export data). Choose Receipts, not Receipts by item. Export needs the Unlimited Sales History add-on or its free trial; the Loyverse reports guide has the details.
- Choose the file in the box above. The tool looks at the column names and picks the date, the time and the total for you.
- Check the three column choices and the date order. If the picks look wrong, change them and the heatmap updates at once.
- Switch between net sales and receipts. Press Save as image to keep a picture you can send or post.
What happens to your file
The file is read by your browser with the File API. This page makes no request while it reads, counts and draws, and it keeps nothing: close the tab and it is gone. The image is drawn on your device too, and only when you press the button.
How the numbers are worked out
- Each square is the total for that weekday and hour, divided by how many of that weekday fall between the first and the last date in your file. So it is an average per day, as in the POSanalyst dashboard.
- Net sales add every total in the column you chose, so a refund written as a negative total takes away from its hour. Receipts count the rows with a total of zero or more.
- The hour is the time written in the file. Nothing is converted between time zones.
- The heatmap needs at least 7 days of receipts. A shorter file shows how many days it has instead of a map.
If the columns are not found
Loyverse files can differ by language and by export type, so the tool also lets you pick the date column, the time column (only if the time is in its own column) and the total column yourself. It reads files split by commas, semicolons or tabs. If dates look like 03/04/2026, choose whether the day or the month comes first.
Questions
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read in your browser and the page sends nothing while you use it. Nothing is stored either, so a new visit starts empty.
Which Loyverse export should I choose?
Receipts. Receipts by item has a row for each item on a receipt, so a receipt would be counted once per item.
How is this different from the POSanalyst dashboard?
The dashboard reads your sales from your Loyverse account every day, so the heatmap is always current and you never export a file. This tool works from one file you choose, once.
